Adding a Tracphone number. better insurance?
 

I just received this email from paypal. (Add your mobile phone number to your account...Having your mobile phone number in your profile is an easy way to make sure your transactions are secure. In case there's ever an issue, we want to be able to contact you quickly.) you mentioned i can add but not delete any numbers...i think its wise to add a tracphone. you guys mentioned that google voice is cool that came with the account i bought. but i think its better insurance so they dont freeze my account. what do you think? Thanks

Tracfones are no better than GV numbers if your account ever runs into problems, because PP is just going to say they couldn't verify that the number belongs to you in either case.

By the way, I've removed numbers from PP before after adding a new one and waiting a few months.

ya I just add google voice to all of my accounts why pay monthly when you can have a free phone number for each account the cost adds up when you start adding more and more accounts.

You need a real phone to get the gv number, I think that’s what phasor was referring to.

Ya I use a tracfone to get the number then I change the tracfones number a repeat :)

lol I only use GV numbers so I can keep an accessible number to receive calls on my accounts without extra paying for an extra phone subscription.

For somebody making accounts I can see the benefit of doing that though. You can make 2 accounts with each tracfone number instead of 1, right? Just no way to take calls after that.

ya exactly phaz0rz and you can change the tracfone number 4 times for free so it is very handy for making accounts and at least to see if they will last a few months without paying for a phone number.
