bank sent back but not in paypal....
 

So my bank sent back funds to paypal. But the funds are not in there. Bank sent me proof of sending it back. And its been 1 month since they sent it back. Could it be possible paypal is holding funds just not putting it back into my account?

1 month has passed? That's really bizarre - you might have to call up pp on this one - perhaps the system is off and has not updated the account

it does happen,for some reason,Paypal fails to find the right account to credit.
You need to ask PAYPAL to initiate a trace.
show Paypal what the bank shows you.

I've had that happen to me once... It was around $100, my first withdraw from that account to the bank, it was about two years ago, and at the time I was worried since the names didn't match and I do a lot of business at that local bank, so I never followed up on it, never saw the funds, and it definitely showed as sent back on the PP side.

I happen to still have the account since I got a debit card on it and use it to pay some things automatically- so about 2 years later I never saw any funds, and never heard anything from PP or my bank about it, and the bank account is still active.

I'm a long time user here, I didn't ever figure out what actually happened, but I'm just saying for what it's worth that I definitely had it happen to me once.

I had a sale cancelled and refunded around 2 years ago for the sum of £950 but that refund never came through to my credit card.

After 7 days I had to call Paypal who said they definitely carried out the refund and it has gone through on their side.

I called my credit card company. They said there isn't a refund on their side and it can take up to 30 days for it to reflect on my balance.

In the end after speaking to 2-3 different agents after 30 days one of them realised that I was issued a new credit card with a different number so the refund went in to the "old" credit card number after they looked at that account the refund was sitting there so they transferred that balance over to the new credit card number ...

Why that isn't an automatic thing I don't know. But very sneaky of them.

You need to keep a sharp eye on your finances.

Your cc issuer should be able to tell you if your old cc has a credit balance,why did they issue you a new cc,did the old one expired or reported lost/stolen?

it goes both way,there are cases when Paypal will send fund to a bank account and the person never get it ,so he goes t o the bank and the bank cant find it.
A case like that with a Canadian bank and some cases with Philipines bank.
It can also happen with credit card refund,you use a cc via paypal to buy from a store and store refunds and you dont see it anywhere,
Years ago,I bought from HD Expo and I used my Paypal debit card as a credit card t o get some cash rebate,HD refunded but I never see it in my Paypal account.
