Paypal in red, how do I put in money? (The bank account linked has my name)
 

Hello friends.
I have a problem. Due to a buyer asking for a return, paypal has blocked the amount of money for the item, and because these money were withdrawn a while ago (even thought I always leave some money in it), now the account is in red. I would like to add money to it, but I cannot withdraw money FROM the bank account linked to it (I can only withdraw TO the bank account).
Therefore if I send money (through bank trasfer) from the bank account to paypal, it will show the name of the sender, my real name, which will put me in danger (as they could associate it with the name of my other blocked account?).
Any idea?

You could sell a few items to build your balance back up.

Also for what it's worth I've had money pulled from mismatched bank accounts by Paypal many times in the past without ever having a problem.

So it's not a problem if it stays in red for some days?
Yes, hopefully I'll sell some stuff very quickly.

So if I bank transfer money from my bank account with my name on it, it shouldn't be a big deal?

Yes you'd be good for a few days but you won't be good leaving it like that forever. I can't say when but Paypal will eventually try to fix the negative balance on their own by pulling $ from your attached payment methods, and if that fails they close your account in my experience.


All I'm going to say is that it's never been an issue for me and I've had it done more times than I can count.

Sort the negative balance soon as you can

That bank transfer goes to a different part of wonderful PayPal.

The name difference would not be discovered until a manual review was made.

I have transferred from my RBS accounts over time and had no troubles.

Do you think waiting for a week, for sales to come (and cover the red hole) is too long?

give some one some cash and ask him to use his Paypal account to send you the money using F & F
