Anyway to reject paypal payments received at a particular email address?
 

Is there anyway to refuse payments sent to an email address registered at paypal short of deleting that address from paypal? I have two email addresses registered to the same account. One old and one new. I only want to use the new one. For some reason, even though I changed my address with them, one person is still sending payments to my old paypal address. In years past, there was an option to reject payments when you received them. I haven't seen that in years. Is there a new way to reject payments?

The only thing I can think of to delete my old email address from paypal. I understand that puts the payment into a limbo state. It's not rejected and it's not accepted. The sender would have to proactively cancel the payment otherwise it just sits at paypal. I don't want that. I ideally, I'd like an auto reject option if there is anything like that. So that the payer knows not to use that address.

you can go into the profile and see if you can reject ,like a certain currency.
if you delete that email address ,then Paypal will send a notice to that email address so you can open an account with PAYPAL,if that email address no longer exists,then you wont know if someone send you payment ,the only way you will know is when you log into your Paypal account.
but easy way isto tell the sender to send to your new email address

I don't know of any way to do it automatically, but you could send an email to all of your regular customers saying something like "We have officially changed our Paypal email. Any payments sent to the our old email will be voided immediately."

Paypal allows you to reject payment in a currency you do not accept,may be he could reject whatever currency the sender is using,other than that,then he has to write/speak/call or email this sender.
or better if it is for goods/service,stop providing such

I've tried that. Not working. As I posted in my original post.

Will the payment timeout after a period of time or will paypal own it forever?

It will go back to the sender if unclaimed.AFTER 30 DAYS.
IF THIS IS FOR goods and services,why not just cut him off,then you will hear from him.
