Pocoloco | 06-11-2019 05:59 PM | Sending £500 to a family members brand new paypal a bad idea ? So a close family member of mine has just started selling on ebay. She has only made 2 sales and her paypal is also brand new.
Issue is, I want to send her £500 as a gift, would this be a bad idea ?
I sent £1 to her account but it's on hold or pending or something she was saying.
Any ideas on the best solution around this ? |
Pocoloco | 06-11-2019 06:04 PM | Re: Sending £500 to a family members brand new paypal a bad idea ? Just to clarify, the £1 I did send to her Paypal was a as a gift.
Any advise would be super appreciated. I owe her a bit money she borrowed me, so wanna get it sorted as soon as possible. |

If its new keep it under 100. | When you say keep it under £100, do you mean send no more than a £100 at a time ?
So over 5 days, send £100 a day ? |

agent006140 | 06-12-2019 07:49 AM | Re: Sending £500 to a family members brand new paypal a bad idea ? In US,I would use online banking to send her the money,it is free if both parties have US bank accounts,it takes 2 days/
You can always send her a check, money order, int or domestic |

Send it via bank transfer. | Can't the card attached to my paypal is a vcc I purchased here and my other paypal with my real card info, was banned for selling weight loss tablets that you need a license for, which i didn't know, as i was just buying them online myself.
So anyways, the account i have is a vcc I purchased here.
I need to cash out and pay her of some money I owe her. |

So I need to cash out and pay her of the money she lent me. |
avtobus | 06-12-2019 08:16 AM | Re: Sending £500 to a family members brand new paypal a bad idea ? you'd better use pay-for-goods option instead of ff payment, it's less risky |
agent006140 | 06-12-2019 08:24 AM | Re: Sending £500 to a family members brand new paypal a bad idea ? if she has sold 2 items, then why not try sending a small amount in the same $ range using F&f.
AND Wait . |
garry9061 | 06-12-2019 09:54 AM | Re: Sending £500 to a family members brand new paypal a bad idea ? A payment of £500 as F&F will definitely have a hold on it.
How old is the sending account? |

How old is the sending account? | The account is fresh. When I sold the TV, PS4 and some other things, all payments were put on a 21 day hold! Which now the money is available.
Just out of curiousity and the information would help me for future purposes, if the paypal account is olderl does that mean you could send more to a new account ? |

just_smile | 06-12-2019 05:11 PM | Re: Sending £500 to a family members brand new paypal a bad idea ? Paypal is the last way I'd want a personal debt settled. Send another way if you can, such as bank transfer or cash.
Having said that, You should be fine sending £500 as fnf payment. Neither account should encounter issues unless you get unlucky. |
