Will the weekend slow my PP withdraws from changing from pending to complete?

Got a lot money in there and getting nervous.

getaroundebay 08-14-2009 10:30 PM

Yeah, 24 hours is a good guide

Paypal runs quicker than Banks. It depends on your bank schedule.

aribragin 08-14-2009 10:44 PM

its betetr to do it after weekend, i would suggest sunday night

captainjack1980 08-14-2009 10:48 PM

I agree. I don't do any withdrawals from friday to Sun night coz nothing seems to move till monday and it is rather off putting.

i totally disagree..move it now, it should say complete by sunday afternoon the latest, by monday it should be in your bank..if not then tuesday definite.. depending on your bank ..

Well us in the UK have to wait up to 5 WORKING days for withdrawals from PP.

Every withdrawal says complete (I gather that's when the transfer has started) after 22-24 hours.

SteveO 08-15-2009 01:58 AM

24hrs like clock work. Got 60% complete, diverting future payments to new account. I swear on one account they actually pulled back "completed" payments that hadn't posted to my bank yet.

getaroundebay 08-15-2009 03:45 AM

Yeah, I have had completed payments "reversed", once 48 hours have passed, I generally am pretty sure I will get the money!

The pending to completed status is on paypals side. Its almost guaranteed to be completed by 25 hours any day. Unless its a larger amount. Which could take some extra time.

In most cases, you should do your withdrawal by Thursday 3:00pm PST. That goes through PP and hits the bank ACH system at around 3:00pm PST Friday (not easy to recall). By noon Saturday, it is beyond PPs reach to directly recall it by any means. They would have to wait until Monday to 'reverse' it, which can be circumvented by having the 'right' kind of bank account.

PP can effortlessly and automatically recall a transfer up until the moment it lands on ACH.

Please share. Right= Corp accounts?

I gave a clue. Anyone who can't chase down the answer should not have the answer.

If somebody has to get the answer by word of mouth, they wouldn't be able to keep it quiet.

And it should never be openly repeated. If the method gets out, it's a goner - same as the 21 day hold workarounds.
