ID after 180 days?

People who recently withdrew their money after waiting 180 days; how did it go?

In 2 weeks it will be the 180th day for me, and some users are saying they just simply withdrew, some said they couldnt. I asked paypal and apparently I have to provide an ID to withdraw which defeats the whole point of waiting 180 days.

Prior to that I was told I don't need to do anything, just waiting the 180 days will make me be able to withdraw my money.

Is there anybody here who has waited for over 180 days already, and still can't withdraw their funds?

But how am I gonna do that? I'm **** at photoshop, and I've heard some users saying they submitted an ID, and paypal literally just doesnt respond, or they just reject it. I dont wanna pay like 30 bucks for a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ id if its not even gonna work

But I don't get it. Like whats the point of the 180 days wait when you're gonna ask for the ID anyway. Is that even legal? Not releasing my money even after 180 days?

EU limit documents recently got rejected, and this was in their email:

“After reviewing your PayPal account, we've determined there to be excessive risk involved in doing business with you and we'd like to begin parting ways in a manner that is least disruptive to your business.

If there is any money in your account balance, it will be held for 180 days (from the date of the last payment you received) to cover any disputes that might be opened by your buyers.

After 180 days, we may ask you to provide us with a proof of identity and a proof of address before you can withdraw any remaining balance.

Is this possibly a new rule they’ve added? Provide ID AGAIN after being rejected just doesn’t make sense. :mad2:

This sure is bad news. I got 5k in one account on lockdown until September. They told me on the phone I could get it out then, no problems. Now I'm wondering if that money is gone. Disgusting!

Guess I will wait and see.

On a US account you should be good.

Been seeing "ID required post limitation" threads like this for a year but only from EU sellers.

Maybe not only UK but EU sellers? I have 2 limited accounts, and only one of them is registered as UK. The other one is set up as Hungary, and I still need to provide an ID.

I agree that's a good clarification. This probably has more to do with EU regulations than UK specifically.

This is quite common, its a case of just supplying the ID and hope everything should be ok.

Just make sure the ID is not a terrible photoshop with obvious mistakes and it should be fine.

180 days is to make sure no chargeback ,it can still ask for IDs to make sure you are the rightful owner of the account

This is why , you never leave more in paypal than you're willing to lose.
