Does you Paypal limitation record ever clear?

Once you've been limited for something like a chargeback (whether you win or not) or some other reason not normally permanent (not related to a negative account), does your record reset after a time, or is that account now damaged goods for the rest of its life? How long do you have to wait for it to be a blank slate again, if ever?

I don't think Paypal is like eBay in a sense that your history will affect you as much. Unless you're scamming people, Paypal isn't out to get you. In other words, your Paypal history doesn't matter much.

Thanks. But aside from that, have you ever noticed one account's abilities being greater than another after an account was limited and then resolved? I'm trying to figure out why the option for instant transfer is not coming up and that's the best I can think of. If paypal allows that history to become baggage, then maybe a fresh account or a break is in order--IF the account does reset after a period of calm.

I don't know that it would be a good idea to reuse emails anyway now that paypal has made some recent changes. I've noticed actual ebay usernames being displayed in large letters at the top of the payment. Not just the email address sending the payment. So basically, if you send a payment from an email, there may be a chance that your ebay username will be tied into that too!

lol my account has had about over 300 disputes literly probaly more!

and its the most lilest dumb things they say.

JackNoMore 09-17-2007 09:27 AM

But do you buy or try to send money much with it when the balance is low? This problem only comes up when I try to send money that isn't there--even though you're supposed to be able to still do that since they have your CC and bank hostage supposedly. ;)

Yeah but the problem is that it's not limited--at least on the surface--so that's not at issue. Whether Paypal keeps a running tab to use against you even after a limitation is lifted (for basic things like disputes and claims) is. I know it's hard to judge. I was just wondering if anyone had the insider experience or real world experience to support the hypothesis.

its true... if your account is limited and then resolved, the will leave you alone much more so than if you have a new account w/o problems so far.. I guess its same as saying that eventually, all new accounts will be limited one way or another, and when you remove the limitation, it will be better than a new account w/o problems so far..which will be eventually limited anyways.... (loop)

I hope you are right and my limit is lifted soon, then it will be stronger

JackNoMore 09-17-2007 07:56 PM

Wow, that's the exact opposite logic as I was thinking, but it kinda makes sense. I really hadn't considered that before.

JackNoMore 09-17-2007 09:03 PM

lol, thanks :p

The irony here is that I was talking about Van's post. But yah, yours is ok too. ;)

Hey, invest in a good speed reading course. It's time well spent and you'll blaze through posts. You'll be through whole books in no time. :)

What is this word inconsequential?

There is a reason, an objective, for every question. Therefore, nothing is inconsequential or irrelevant. It's all subjective. And I type this not to pick a fight, but to post a fact. There are no stupid questions.

As far as the rest--you have your writing style and grammar. I have mine. As Forrest Gump would say "that's all I have to say about that." :)
