Selling on eBay with bank account not PayPal
 

Hey guys,


Just wondering I have a bank account if I use that method to get paid on eBay instead of PayPal will my bank account get limited to or not ?

Specifically speaking, your bank would likely not "limit" your bank account. eBay doesn't have control on your bank account...

What are you talking about, OP? What you're asking about isn't possible unless you're in eBay managed payments and you're getting payouts from eBay to your bank.

I dont know if this is still true,but Ebay Australia,the seller can enter her bank routing number and account number for the buyer to pay for the item.
Then Ebay wanted to ban such,they complain to some authority and they won.
Aussie Ebay is not a big site back then

Yes I want my customers to pay directly to my bank account. I’m not linking up on PayPal because they might have control then.

That's not how it works. eBay is not yet a payment processor in UK. Even in the places where eBay is controlling payments now (USA) they don't allow direct customer-to-seller bank transfer payments. In managed payments eBay give buyers options like Apple pay, Google pay, Paypal, or Credit Card.. but not bank transfers of any kind.

You have to link a Paypal or you won't be able to receive payments.

Getting paid directly to the bank would be nice but there's no protection for buyers so doubt that will work. Maybe build trust over time with individual buyers then might be possible.

On Ebay Germany it is possible to bypass Paypal altogether as they are more used to paying by SEPA

but how do you indicate on your Ebay listing that you prefer bank payment?
It would ask you to state payment method?
There is no option for bank payment?

Message filters would get your account into big trouble very quickly. You can't even ask a buyer to pay you directly via Paypal invoicing without the message being flagged and rejected - so I seriously doubt asking them to send $ to your bank account in the same way would work. You'd be NARU'd as soon as eBay noticed since they take it very seriously when sellers try to drive buyers off of eBay. Especially in a way that bypasses any sort of buyer protection the buyer would normally have.

Hm i don't know what the filters restrict but I've done so in the past. Just got to be creative and experiment. Once you manage that maybe ask the buyer to do several partial payments.

if it is Ebay USA,she wont even be able to list her item,as she must specify payment method -paypal/AYden.
she can say Paypal or local pick up.

what she can do if she has a Paypal account is to enter her Paypal account email address on the listing,without Buy it now option.
so when the auction ends,or someone bought the item,she can give her bank routing and account number but I doubt buyers would go along,they may even think she is trying to scam them.
They get no buyer protection if they pay her via bank account,why would they want to do that?
