phaz0rz | 07-31-2019 11:33 AM | Re: PayPal US mismatched names banks Literally all of them except for maybe 10 in the whole country. I prefer small local banks/credit unions because they usually treat their members better.. but I can also vouch for WF. :thumb: |
yankee | 07-31-2019 11:43 AM | Re: PayPal US mismatched names banks more than 10,000 banks in the USA. ALL web only banks are bad. Maybe a few others dont work. The other 9985 are fine. |
nickopedia | 07-31-2019 12:17 PM | Re: PayPal US mismatched names banks You can't really go wrong with most any brick & mortar bank or credit union that has actual branches you can go visit.
Just steer clear of these so called online only banks. Some examples are Greendot, NetSpend, Walmart Money Card; anything from Metabank, Bancorp Bank, etc. |
phaz0rz | 07-31-2019 01:09 PM | Re: PayPal US mismatched names banks There ought to be a stickied list of banks that are problematic with mismatched deposits.. but maybe that would attract the wrong kind of attention. I've seen threads saying Navy Federal FCU and USAA bank should be avoided, and maybe 5 or 6 others. You could probably find them by searching aspkin threads on Google, if you care to.
USAA no go -> https://www.aspkin.com/forums/everyt...sing-them.html
Thread saying Navy Federal savings accounts are a no go -> https://www.aspkin.com/forums/subscr...eral-bank.html Shoutout to yotano211 for providing the info on both of these places! |

We need a list of banks that are known to be problematic (such as Ally or Capital One 360), etc.
Some users here have claimed they are having good luck with Chime which is a Bancorp Bank product. I have yet to test Chime myself, so anyone else have any input on that? |

So to sum it up, a single branch bank can loan $10,000,000.00 if they have account balances of $1,000,000.00 Bank of america can loan $50,000,000 for every $1,000,000 they have on hand much of the past two decades.
It is the primary reason BofA, WF and TD bank make withdrawing more than $5000,00 at a time a chore. 3 days notice for anything over 10k without having a relationship even on commercial accounts but feel free withdrawing $5000 at the ATM at certain locations per debit card.
Banking in the USA is very much so the ability to print money out of thin air
Fiat currency at the bank level |

I'd give you $20 if you can help me get a debit card with a daily withdrawal limit like that.
I used to think my card with a $800 daily limit was special a few years ago. I can't seem to get anywhere close since then. WF cards will only let you get $300/daily. Their card spend limits are decent but not withdrawal limits. $600 on one CU card, $300 on the other.. I think $500 on the 2nd bank's card but I don't use it much. I've never seen a card withdrawal limit anywhere close to $5k (or even $1k). |

Just be careful about appearing to be "structuring" just below the reporting threshold :) |

I've never seen a card withdrawal limit anywhere close to $5k (or even $1k). | I have a Wells Fargo Business Platinum Debit card. The initial limit was $1,000 USD /day for ATM withdrawals. I had this raised to $2,000 without a problem. I was told by my banker that the limit is based on past transaction history, and length of time you have been a WF customer.
Citibank allows $2,000 USD /day for ATM withdrawals. Some banks will allow high amounts, but you need to ask for it.
Banks set their card withdrawal limits based on risk and how "good" of a customer you are. |
yankee | 08-02-2019 08:47 AM | Re: PayPal US mismatched names banks I was just going to post that BofA and Citi are currently $2000 a day max now but PER DEBIT CARD. |
yankee | 08-02-2019 11:20 AM | Re: PayPal US mismatched names banks How is $310 even possible? I thought ATM only gave out $20 bills?
On your business accounts, have you applied for your DUNS number? |
yankee | 08-02-2019 11:24 AM | Re: PayPal US mismatched names banks Also, you should be able to fill out a small book of forms and increase you purchase limits if you desired. I am assuming you buy as much as you can on credit though for points and other incentives. |

I am assuming you buy as much as you can on credit though for points and other incentives. | The ATM at our local branch gives out $20's and $50's.. but the extra $10 is still pointless since you can't make $310 with any combination of those, lol.
I don't really need it anymore now that I'm paying for orders with wire's from this WF account, but back when we were using WU and would have to come up with cash 2x a week for payments, something higher than the $300 limit would have been handy. I'll still check into though because only being able to get $300 at a time when the bank is closed is a joke. |
nickopedia | 08-02-2019 11:37 AM | Re: PayPal US mismatched names banks $310 seems like a joke, but that's the limit on my PERSONAL WF account- all my business accounts with them were raised, however.
@Phaz: if you have had a long relationship with WF, go visit your home branch and request a higher limit. They did it for me without much trouble. $310 would not cut it for me, I often require much more cash from the ATM than that in one shot, especially while visiting the San Francisco Bay Area where things are insanely expensive. |
yankee | 08-02-2019 11:42 AM | Re: PayPal US mismatched names banks also, you should be able to get multiple debit cards for each account. Your name/last name. Your name/middle initial/last name. Wife, etc.. |
nickopedia | 08-02-2019 11:51 AM | Re: PayPal US mismatched names banks I also like the higher limits because I often travel overseas and WF only charges a flat $5 regardless of how much I take out of the ATM in foreign currency. Other banks charge a percentage (usually 3%) which can add up quickly.
Back on topic, I do like the fact I have never had problems running stealth PayPals into my business Wells Fargo accounts. They don't give me any issues, even with transactions in the "high 5 figures". Some people don't like WF, but I think they are great for stealth. |
harborpoint | 08-02-2019 12:08 PM | Re: PayPal US mismatched names banks some atms actually give out $10's and like at the BofA by my house. And it's pretty awesome that you guys got rich off of ebay you all must be loaded (no pun intended) |

Also let it be known that there are kiosks in some casinos which run your card as a PURCHASE allowing you to bypass the lower CASH limit. It's also a good way to get a cash advance as a "purchase" from VISA/MC/DISC cards and only pay the purchase APR. ;)
Of course, the "catch" is those machines in tern charge a fee for the privilege. |
