New PayPal issue for me
 

I had a previous PayPal and eBay years back that is not active and used real info
Last year I started new PayPal and eBay. Used all real info except social security number. Moved to different state so I have new address.
Sales been great and got the tax info request a while back. Applied for ein and upgraded to a business PayPal. So I used real ein and they asked for birth date and last 4 of the social. I added the last 4 of the ein. I used same birth month different day and same year.
Shortly after that I got the invite to managed payments and now get eBay sales from managed payments.
I still have the PayPal to pay eBay fees , make purchases, and pay for eBay postage.
I don't take any money in on this account from sales. Today PayPal is again asking for copy of id and social. Not the last 4 but entire number. It's still a business account with new tax request. Ein is still there where I added it a while back.

So my question is. I am not using this for payments. Can PayPal limit this account where I can't pay for labels and eBay fees. PayPal takes the money from my bank for fees on eBay and shipping labels printed on eBay.

So my guess is PayPal found out that the last 4 of social which I added last 4 of ein and my name dont match irs data base. The ein would match irs but not last 4.
Can not add the real last 4 as that would link me and don't wanna lose the good eBay account.

What happens if I don't supply the info requested.
This is not my account to receive eBay payments any longer. I am using managed payments now.

If you used all real info except for new address it still seems that a manual review could easily link.

I can't comment on what happens if you don't supply the info requested however...

All real info minus the last 4 of social and different day of month for bday.
So if I lost the account I can use eBay to print labels and come straight from bank or no?
Also can I add payment info on eBay for seller fees and if PayPal does close up shop for me I can still do the things I need without the use of PayPal?

So thing about them asking for SSN and all other info usually means that something is amiss in your activity or account creation that would trigger this.

I can't tell what since I don't know how you did it or what you do .

Can you make some new accounts and work on them? See if it happens again?

Use PirateShip for labels. Then you can pay with your CC and get reward points for shipping.

Also pay eBay fees with same CC. :)

You dont need Paypal to pay Ebay fees,if you look at your My EBay,there are other options.

if your business is solo,it would ask for your SSN.
The argument is that behind every business,there is a real person.so what is your SSN.

If you're not using it for sales I would let it go and just use managed payments. I print my shipping from stamps.com'
