With a 5/500 it's best to sell cheaper items anyway for the first few months to help boost your selling limits. If your usual items are over $1k then you're really going to need a secondary (much cheaper) niche to sell in while you mature this account you've bought. Find something cheaper to sell, then max out your selling limits every month and they'll start bumping you up.
It would not make sense to add your EIN to the account now, because there's a possibility of you losing the account. After you've been selling cheaper items on the account for a few months and you start mixing in your more expensive items is when you should think about adding the EIN. Even then though I'd wait until you sell a few of the expensive items. Wait until you're reasonably confident the account isn't going to be hit with a random limitation (which means at least waiting until the account is past 3 months old and out of it's "probationary period").. then make it official with your EIN. |
