Ok- Can I use a Debit Card or Giftcard for paypal?
 

Maybe I posted it the wrong way last time.

Can someone please let me know if I can use a debit card from my checking account or a gift card to verify with paypal?

Using a gift card you have a 50/50 shot of Paypal accepting it.

A debit card will work to get your verified. You'll need a bank account to become confirmed if I remember correctly.

I set up a PP with a simon card. After running about $75 in and about $35 out I got limited and had to provide supplier info, proof of shipping and location verification which I was able to do all quite easily and the limitation was lifted. Still less than $100 in it and I am sure that I might have to add a bank account in the near future...they said that was a requirement to lift this limited but they lifted it before I provided it.

Bank ( checking ) account is already set up, they are asking for a CC to verify so they can issue a debit card.
I asked the lady at the bank what is it the merchant can see if they charge something to my checking account debit and see said the number and your name.
So to get around that I suppose I need to enter a gift card so they cannot see any name, I was just wondering if anyone else used a giftcard recently and was able to get verified for the paypal debit.

Am I missing something? What good is a debit card from an account with supposedly bogus address, name, etc. I would love to have one, but how would they ever physically get it to me?

you can try opening a DBA (doing bidness as) account. that seems to be working out pretty well for me so far...
