PayPal wants positive feedback from my customer
 

I had many many PayPals limitations lifted once I provided all the documentation they've required. However, the last time they refused to lift the limitation and asked that my eBay customer should leave me a positive feedback before they can do that "so the customer confirms that he received what he purchased". So funny, as he received the item like a week ago and silent since then, so in my eyes that is a clear approval! But PayPal thinks different. Is that something new? Never ever had such thing in years!

I'd say call again and get a different rep and see if they say the same thing.

If anything, message the customer for a positive feedback.

do you have many cases where buyers do not leave feedback?
do you use tracking?
These days,more buyers do not leave feedback.
In the past, I can always tell who are the ones who do not leave feedback,they tend to buy high ticket items and they are brick and mortar stores looking for merchandise to resell and have no time to fuss around with feedback !

Hindsight is 20/20 but with new accounts, I've always had to include a note asking customers to please leave feedback.
In this case, I'd send the buyer a polite note to leave feedback. You can then take that result back to PayPal and hope for the best.

I've gone as far as giving free gifts to ensure I receive feedback. I always break even or make a loss establishing an account.

Everyone is answering how to ask leave feedback :)

In my case even when i have provided UPS or Fedex trackings ( delivered ) paypal anyway asking feedback. But buyer is not obligatory to leave feedback. So what hapens in this case !?!?

Communicate or not paypal will ask anyway this. The question was about paypal new thing when they ask feedback.

I think it's a specific request by the advisor that dealt with your account. Not in general. I have had different advisors ask different questions on ebay (not in paypal). But if you don't like it just call back again.

My buyer has just disappeared. I even sent him SMS with a polite request to put a feedback, he said he will do so, but nothing had happened since then. And no any luck with the PP. I am really mad. As these buyers frequently visit ebay only when they need something, and this might happen once a month! And PP does not give a sheet.

Yes. He got back to me, said will put a feedback. And disappeared after that, and then stopped replying to my further SMS.

If a seller ever texted me begging for feedback, there's no telling what I might do. WTF

PayPal messaged him, I messaged him, sent him SMS. And he is enjoying the item and does not give a sheet and it is his legal right to be an asshole. And I, as a seller, should suffer for an unknown time now.

The first thing for me will be to think he badly needs the FB and just give it. But I understand what you mean. :pound:

Are you sure PayPal texted him? Next time you're on with CS, you can state this & perhaps ask them to call him instead. You wouldn't be reaching because they want confirmation & texted him on their own. Quite an annoying situation but if all fails you just have to wait it out.

No, I personally sent the buyer few SMS. But PP just sent him an email, these idiots can't even send an SMS or call the buyer! And of course he didn't reply as he just disappeared and that is the issue. They want ME to hunt someone on the other side of the globe... another monkey business from pp.

UPDATE : my SMS hunt has finally finished good, and I got a positive FB from the buyer. But imagine how pissed I was when asked to find someone because of rep's fantasies, while that should be solely PP's work.

Glad you had it sorted. Quite unreasonable of PayPal in the first place.
