seller does not see the source of fund, you also do not have to use your PAYPAL fund if you dont want to.
The only time you know is when he uses bank account, and it becomes an echeck, you will be notifed to wait until check clears to ship,or when you get a chargeback, and

E-checks are the only thing that really give it away

It really makes no difference to the seller,Paypal charges 2.9-4.4% plus 30 cents no matter what he used.
If he wants to open a dispute, now if he did not use his cc,then if he loses,he cant go to his cc issuer for a chargeback.

refund is a credit transaction,if you have a merchant account, you always pay a small fee.
Paypal used to be free, but there are too many refunds these days

2,19% 5k
1,99% 25k
1,79% 100k
1,49% <100k

no,it is for all US Paypal accounts if you give them more business per month not per transaction ,your rate is lower.
but then I have never received $100K in one transaction
