 Accidentally added 2 other banks to PP with their new "add bank" page... (CAREFUL!)
Paypal now has an instant-account-adding page where you log into your bank (as before) and they show you the bank accounts xxxx1234, something like that, and you choose the bank account you want to attatch the PP to.
Now (first time I've seen this) when you get the page to choose which bank account you want to add, all the other accounts that are already connected to other PP accounts have their box already checked too... so when you choose the new box and click "submit" you're actually adding all those other bank accounts that are connected to other PP accounts too since those boxes are already checked (because it doesn't cross your mind to UNCHECK the pre-checked boxes.) It seems simple now, but in the moment, after finally getting the verification phone call to go through, I was a little too quick on a new format and it was an easy mistake.
I assume this is a method they use to link multiple PP accounts to one user, and as soon as I realized what happened (I got a message that said "You added 3 bank accounts), I removed all but the intended bank account from my PP immediately, within 30 seconds.
Has anyone else noticed this? Do you think that all those PP accounts are going to be linked by the bank now? Don't forget, these are all machines and stuff is pretty binary, I'm kinda worried, both other accounts are on active and successful setups.
Thanks in advance, and if you don't know what I'm talking about, BE CAREFUL! Because at first glance, you don't realize you're actually connecting multiple bank accounts to the one PP. It's an unnecessary action (who adds 3 bank accounts at once to a single PP account and for what?) so I'm convinced it's their way of trapping people to link PP's.
