PayPal requests for SSN/EIN
 

I created a new PP for using my friend's eBay account since my personal eBay account got suspended. I linked my personal credit card and my business's bank account which had not associated with my old Pp as ways to verify the new PP.

Within a month of using this PP, PayPal requests my SSN or EIN to confirm my taxpayer status. What should I do in order to solve this issue? Update my personal SSN or upgrade the PP to a business account? Will eBay being able to find out my identity and link my friend's eBay as mine?

You cannot use your own SSN since it wont match the info on the paypal account.
Youll need to add an EIN and when you do so the account will be upgraded to a business account.

What if the account you're trying to add an EIN to has already been previously upgraded to a business account?

And then they are going to ask for articles of Incorporation, proof of business address, etc, etc.
Last 3 I tried did this and I just abandoned them.

can you use your friend's paypal account and give him./her a %.
it will complicate his tax return?
