PayPal Upgrade To Business
Hi guys,
I was wondering does the information that PP requires to upgrade to a Business account, have to be legit.
What I mean is can I make up a Business name , address etc?
Must I choose Individual type of business or Sole Trader.
I need to switch to Business since I want to use PP as a payment gateway on my shopify website. Any recommendations about shopify and PP?
I've sold mostly low risk items till now, about 200 items for 2 months.

| You cannot use ⊗⊗⊗⊗ EIN/TIN, if this does not match with name, ssn, company name and ein, paypal may hold your money. |

| The point is if you use a wrong info on paypal and you are asked to provide proofs, if you cannot provide them, your money is gone. |

| You can just upgrade to Business in the UK without any issues. You dont even need to be a business, you can select the Individual option as many individual sellers need to use the business features on a PayPal account. |

| Just use individual option. You wont need to provide any business information as you're not going to be registered as a business. You'll just be using the business features on PayPal (as an individual). |

There is no company having a director or owner with the name I use for my PP existing in the UK. |

You should be spreading sales over multiple accounts to reduce risk of any suspension or limitation. |

| So can I register a company on the name that I've used for my ebay and PP acc?
Surely I have spread the risk on several accounts, but hey if they develop and reach £25.000 (God bless) I wouldn't want to abandon those accounts,only because PP is requiring docs for a company. I would feel pretty damn sick leaving developed ebay accounts because they've reached the threshold.
If there is a way I will do it to keep the accounts. |
