edit: If I give paypal my wife's SSN, will Paypal ever ask for her drivers license or passport? I can provide a utility bill to verify the address.

origina: I plan to use my wife's SSN and a UPS box address to create a new account - i have some stealth accounts, but I need to be able to sell volume. Will paypal ever ask me for a drivers license or passport? I'm concerned my wife's license won't match the UPS address.

Yes, eventually they will ask for all documents, it might as well be on your first sale

I should say, what is the minimum I can use to get through this? Passport seems like a good one - I don't remember that having an address.

In my opinion and SSN is more powerful than a passport.

Will that work on it's own? I suspect my wife's SSN is not going to be associated with the UPS box, so then they will ask for proof of address.

Paypal will surely ask you for address proof at some point. So try to get one ready. you can edit your own to your wife's name and address

My recommendations are PO boxes are bad idea . There are some private mail companies where they don't use the word PO Box. But their rates are very expensive maybe $40 a month. Try googling a mailbox store. U wanna find a private place. Also you can try a test with your Post Office Box now. Get rid of the word PO Box and put apartment you should still get the mail. Example if your PO boxes 444 put apartment 444

a UPS mailbox is not a PO box.

I updated my question slightly
