No longer able/needed to confirm credit cards?

So I bought a VCC here and added to one of my accounts but I can't find the "confirm card" option for it. I've had other accounts with prepaid cards that don't show the option but thought it was because they were only prepaid cards.
Is this step no longer needed with US Paypal?

No, i could see the confirm card on my UK accounts after i added vcc

I think it's only on US Paypal accounts.
