Yearly PayPal Friends & Family limits
 

Hello folks. I am wondering if there are yearly limits for receiving money to a PayPal account with Friends & Family. I have heard the $20,000 per year number before, but I wonder if that only has to do with receiving money via Goods & Services.

My stealth account is 5 or 6 months old now, and going strong, and it is able to receive $3,000 to $4,000 per month with no problems. However, in the interests of planning for the future, I am wondering if at some point they will limit me for the year.

Anybody know anything about that? Thank you.

Never heard of any limit for F &F payments,but they do watch your account for possible fee avoidance

The 200/$20k limit only applies to commercial transactions so F&F payments do not count towards it. On top of fee avoidance, that is another one of the reasons why they monitor F&F payments so carefully. They don't want F&F payments being used as a way to avoid reporting taxable income.

Thank you for your input. It does match what I have already read/heard about that.

What kind of limits do you think I should stay under (monthly or yearly) to avoid problems with PayPal?
