This happened to two accounts on my stealth paypal, i’m pretty sure the name match thing is in affect now, may just be me now (I tried santander and Barclays)

That email is nothing to do with mismatching names. It's because you've added a bank account that does not support the direct debit mandate.

Well that means i’m just stupid, i added a savings account? could that be it?

That's exactly what it is. Savings accounts do not support the direct debit mandate.

Don't worry about it, there's plenty other folk that enjoy a bit of scaremongering. :d

Absolutely nothing to worry about it happens for every single account that rejects a direct debit

Still having trouble, added a new monzo bank account yesterday (current account) and i cant withdraw to it

This is normally to do with IP, carry on building cookies and wait 2-3 days then withdraw again

WHEN did you set the account up?

WHEN did you add the bank account?

WHEN did PayPal do the deposit (prompting the direct debit email)?

WHEN did you try to withdraw the first time?

Made the paypal on the 26th of feb
The bank account and the verification code was on the 28th feb
then i tried to withdraw 1st of march
