PayPal Limited After Upgrading To Business

I hit the 20k 200 limit and upgraded my account to business. After upgrading it had me submit the usual docs. Proof of ESN, proof of address, etc. I submitted those and then got the “unusual activity” message and submitted a professional creative ID, proof of fulfillment and business information. I submitted all of that and waited a couple of days.

Called in to see if I could get it pushed through (I have a lot of money in this account, over 15k) and the guy tried to unlock it but turns out he has to send it to someone else to look over it.

Fast forward to today and now I have to upload confirm bank account and confirm ssn. I really don’t want to lose this account as I have a lot of funds pending in it and would rather not wait the 180 days. It is a stealth account that’s about 8 months old.

Bank account is easy but SSN I can’t figure out how to get around that. Any ideas? Anybody get through this before? Any help would be awesome!

Never gave them any social yet. That’s what I’m wondering about. It’s not in my name so obviously can’t give them my social. It says, “ For security, your name and address will be checked against the Social Security number entered. See the PayPal Privacy Policy for more information regarding personal information privacy and security.”

Yes I understand that it could very well be over but has anyone ever called in and complained about not giving out personal information anymore because they’ve been scammed etc. or calling in and asking why they need the social and possibly had a nice rep run it through. Or post an ein or different social and see what happens. Lots of possibilities, wondering which is best or could possibly work.

No, do not send them a random SSN. The ssn must match with the details you've registered with PayPal.

There's a way to do this, but that is pure blackhat. You can try google that if you want to know more about it.

Here's the thing, whenever they ask for multiple documents, it's usually hard to get the account back.

You have your original bank account still attached to the Paypal account correct?
Just be prepared to wait for that 180 days to withdraw the funds to the bank account

Do you think they are doing the multiple docs because they see a red flag with the account? So could be I give legit info and they would still cancel account? They are just gathering info for the future? I had another account that got limited and I provided docs and it got unlimited today but they never asked for ssn. This account is more legit than that one buy maybe I just got unlucky.

Yes, it's certainly a big red flag on their end.
there's a small chance you can get the account back , yes, but they usually collect all these info to use against you in the future.

And how do I go about trying to get the account back if I don’t have ssn. I’d like to try at least before I give up.

I need help. pp, ebay all in my 13 year old's name with obviously different birthday info to make it an adult. my accounts are about 7 months old but a recent spike in sales ( maybe 2k the last couple weeks) has paypal asking for ssn OR itin to transfer the money piling up. I dont need scolding bc i dont intend to go over the 12k needed to file taxes this year i just dont want the money stuck at this point. what should i do? with they notice the different birthdays if i give her social? will this work to have access to the money i made?

You have to convince an agent that their request for ssn is not needed. That is your only option. Nothing else works. Because they will run the ssn threw public records and it has to match.

I got this limitation removed.... long story behind it, but the only option you have like I said is convincing an agent the need for your ssn should not be applicable for whatever activity was done on your account.
