PayPal Request SSN Ok To Use EIN?

I have a Paypal Personal account with legit info. However, my SSN is linked to a previously legit account that has been perma-banned. Is it safe to apply for an EIN thru the IRS and then use instead of an SSN number? If it is safe, do I need to apply for a business PayPal account first?

Yes, get that EIN and try putting it to PP.

Dont use previous used SSN, Yes you can use EIN

Should I do it immediately or can I drag my feet a bit? How long do I have because I am nowhere near the $20,000 mark

Paypal can ask you to provide your tax payer info (SSN, EIN...) much earlier. If they calculate that you will go over the limit in december they can ask for this info in march. It happened to me.

I'm selling 40$ a day only in effort not trip the 20k/200 limit until managed payments email comes.

Once they ask you for it, how much time do they usually give you until they limit you?
