PayPal transfers being denied?
 

I added two separate Wells Fargo checking and savings account and it gives me the 72 hr delay prompt then after that it says transfer denied. I tried instant transfer and I tried the wait "1 day" transfer...



It's a instant denial,and It's for around 3.3k

if he sold something and the fund is not withheld,he should have no problem transferring,the problem could be the bank accounts.
Are they in your name?
have you tried using a bank issued debit card?

Nothing. It was limited for 180 days and I received an email stating it was ready for withdrawal

Oh just piss off will you... acting like this isn't a bloody stealth forum where the vast majority of people withdraw to bank accounts in different names from the PayPal account.

OP, I got this error, left my account for about 2 days and still got it, even when I tried taking out tiny amounts. I left it a bit over a week after that and then it then worked.

You did not tell us your fund was restricted for 180 days and now available to withdraw.
when did you add your two WFC accounts?
Before or after the restriction?

Whether the question was addressed to me or not is irrelevant; the point is that you asked a completely useless question.

Since almost everyone on here withdraws to a bank account in a mismatching name without any problems, that is obviously not the issue here.

Mismatched names transfer could be a thing of the past,in UK and USA and EU and CANADA,just be patient

I'll say it again: if ALMOST everyone on here does it just fine, it obviously can't be the cause of this error.

I know there has been posted many times, but I have to ask again, how PayPal calculate 180 days, is it counted 180 days since I got the e-mail from PayPal informing me that the account was suspended?

And did anyone get an e-mail after 180 days when the problem with COVID-19 started?

They reserve your money for 180 (cause of chargebacks) ,i mean if the last transaction (recieved money from someone) is at 10/4/2020 , your money should be available around 10/10/2020 (+- 6 days)

Yea i think its pretty much automated ****,i had the email that im good to withdraw my money 1-2 weeks ago, so they still do this after covid guarantine :)

I've been getting the same thing for a while now. I try the instant transfers to my debit card, and its hit or miss. Sometimes I'll try a transfer for $20 and it transfers instantly. Then I'll try $20 again and it tells me that its delayed. Sometimes right after doing that $20 transfer which was delayed, I'll do a transfer of $100 and it goes through instantly.

I talked to PayPal about it and they said its pretty much random and there's no way they can override it. Not sure what they do in these reviews exactly. The rep told me sometimes they release the funds earlier than the estimated time they give you. But so far every delayed transfer has been delivered to the exact minute of when they said it would be.


A few weeks ago it was a 72 hour delay, which kinda sucked. Now I'm randomly getting 12 hour delays, which aren't bad at all as I'll wake up the next day with the funds. I'm starting to think that some of this has to do with the source of funds, and more so the buyer rather than your account. For instance I see more delays with FB Marketplace transactions than anything. Same thing goes for which transactions have holds and which ones don't. It's random it seems.

Maybe have to pass 180 days since the last transaction in account (including chargebacks, etc.)?

If you dont have an email yet, you should wait 1-2 more weeks, if you dont recieve the mail then just call them and ask them whats going on..maybe they will ask for more information (id /proof of adress and other ****s )

They said my bank is denying yet my bank said they aren't. They keep telling me about some bank error about my account not receiving any transactions. Yet just the other day the bank account was working fine.

Wells Fargo. and I just created a chase account and linked it to my PayPal account and it was denied!!!!!!!!
