What to do when bank realizes mismatching names
 

Looking for some suggestions:

My PayPal (stealth) has different names from my bank. Have successfully used it this way for over an year.

Now my bank wants me to explain "Your connection to the people sending the money to you." and "The reason for your incoming payments."

or else they will cancel the transaction.

Any ideas on how to navigate this one?

Explain that you were getting money for your business (selling xyz) and that you are either prepared to upgrade to business account (depending on if you can deal with new fees) or that you will stop. Always good to keep warm ties to the bank so you might have to change the status of this account - and open other personal accounts for your use.

Be careful on this or the bank may decide to end doing business with you. Which bank if you don't mind sharing?

commercial bank account would be his solution,but it would cost him

open a business account, should have no issue then.

In the UK, business account are free for the first 12-18 months, then £7 per month, they call it "management free", £7 a month should be nothing if you are running a business with steady income..

I like Rsot's idea. ANd yes tell them that it's for business and you're about to upgrade your bank acc to a business account.
