Paypal cannot verify Passport, please provide another form of photo ID

After temporary limitation and request to upload ID and fulfillment details i get a reply saying they have been unable to verify passport details using their verification process, and to please upload an alternative.

Days of ebay stealth are closing.

Seems Paypal now have the facility to check passport details for validity....

I highly doubt the days of stealth are numbered.
And it doesn't necessarily mean that they verify the details of the passport.
just cause the doc you sent in fails doesn't mean all that.

So what else does it mean then? They have not asked that i resubmit the passport.

They are clearly asking me to send an alternative.
