PAYPAL stole 38280.60 EUR to a non stealth account - AUP
 

Paypal stole from me 38280.60 EUR.
I have a non stealth account registered in thailand.
Damages caused to PayPal by Acceptable Use Policy violation(s)

ebay initially removed 2 auctions for VERO. after some time they removed 1 auction for sale of drugs (a body cream is not a drugs).
paypal suspended my account for 180 days.

at my request for explanations paypal replied that "maybe" I was selling drugs or items for adults.

i've waited 180 days and now all the money has been stolen.

Is there anything I can do?

Absolutely ridiculous amount to keep in a paypal account.

Withdraw to your bank ALWAYS.

There are so many people that will become depressed because paypal have stolen their funds. I have not heard 1 success story of anybody getting their money back even after pursuing them through solicitors / lawyers.

I was selling in dropshipping. I was regularly withdrawing small amounts, I didnt withdraw everything in order to not get limited by paypal.

you can get your money after 180 days, just six month, not much time

You should ask a lawyer about it,its freaking big amount so i think it worth..and never leave that much money on your paypal account man, lol 39k euros -_-

I understand, so it was easy to keep the money in paypal to pay your suppliers.

At this current time you can try writing a professional letter to them but I haven't read a single story of sellers being successful in reversing the paypal AUP.

If they take your money like that it is most definitely gone. You will have to write it off and start again.

I am looking for websites for legal advice that can take care of my problem with paypal. I found this fairshake.com . they want 20% of the total refunded and I am willing to pay in case they can solve my problem.

do you know other website?

It happened to me a few years ago for much less amount (i was doing dropshipping too) , All of my efforts were ineffective to get an answer from pp so no chance to be successful on this way also for taking a legal action you have to pay so dont be simple that some one will charge you some % after successful case !

hard to believe to be honest?how could you sell body cream to get that much money for a few days?if its not a sale amount total for a few days,why you not withdraw your funds for that long time?are you waitting for paypal to raise some interests for you?

What legal action? They are based in the United States. The court system in this country is corrupt. You can't sue them but the fun part is you are in Thailand so they can't sue you either. Maybe try to steal the money back.

Wow, that's a lot of money to leave in paypal, I never leave more than $150 in each account I use. I swap between 8 different accounts and I accumulate between $4500-$5000 between each account, then withdraw and move on to the next. Leaving anything over that is just too scary, You said you were withdrawing a little bit at a time, but you should of withdrawn more.... I'm sorry but you will probably never see that money again. I doubt that fairshake can do anything for you. Best of luck

They seem to know what they are doing, I contacted them for my similar problem but was able to resolve it by other means. Being in Thailand don't think they could help but don't hurt to try
