question about PayPal and phone number
 

I added a new number to PayPal account to I sold like 10 small items on 3 years ago.
I recently sold some things on it and added ssn so I could spend balance.
few days later I try to buy something on eBay and the pp popup goes to a screen to add a phone number to the account .. I try to add the one I added 4 days ago and it won't let me add the one I already added to confirm it?

is the internal PayPal system not updating the phone number?
is it a security thing that's tied to phone number?

if so any idea how long of a wait time until the phone number becomes registered in the system?

I'm having the same error but mine is a legit account with real info on it. added a new tracfone number and when trying to change the pin it says the same thing, i think we may have to wait a few days for the system to recognize it

I added a att h2o wireless number, and the account is real info also... must take awhile for new number to actually recognize for security reasons?
