Can Paypal verify my name with the bank or not?
 

So I have an EU bank account and a Paypal account attached to each other. A couple of years ago I changed my name. The Paypal account is in my old name, the bank account is in my new name. This has not lead to any problems. I cna even cash out from PP to my bank.

I assume that the current verification is the one where PP sends you a tiny sum, and you use that sum as a verification code. Am I right?

As part of that process, Paypal are not actually able to receive my name from the bank, right?

Reason I am asking is that I want to use some friends of mine to set up PP accounts, and attach my own bank accounts for verification and cashout. My bank is very generous when it comes to letting me create new sub-accounts.

Any caveats here?

99% of all banks do not care if the name does not match with the paypal account and for paypal it is impossible to find out unleast you transfer money to them.

if you use Icard, the name has to match. If you use Bunq they will close your acc very fast if the name does not match. most other banks i know do not have problems with different names
