No more EU limit in UK?
 

Hello,
I made an acc 2 weeks ago. It got restricted after the first sale and they reinstated it after sending the docs.(NOT THE EU LIMIT RESTRICTION)

I received already 3k GBP on it and there was no EU limit. Is there no more EU limit on UK accounts?

They will have lifted the EU limit when they restored your account from the other limitation. It's fairly common for them to do that.

I had had a lot of limitation and they NEVER removed the EU limit with the limitation where they ask for invoices proof of delivery and ID.

I even had many cases where i get these both restrictions at the same time. Also i never send them a proof of address, and the restriction came after like 40 GBP and not after 1600.

I have another account where I received 1750 GBP (!) which is 1960 EUR and it also has no EU limit. This acc never had a restriction, so i think there is no more EU limit for UK paypals

Maybe related to brexit?

Haven't seen anyone else mention anything like this though.

I thought the whole point was to get away from blanket EU regulation. :noidea:

You may right at part of stage.
I had 3 reaching the limits this month.only an older 1 that registered in 2019 get soft limit notification on 1800 EUR benchmark.
Well other 2 that registered in 2020 both fly over 2500 EUR at no limitation at all..
I ll carefully receiving from those 2 and see whats going on later.

EU limits is 2.5k EUros/ year , so pretty sure when you reach that theyll ask for docs ,

Its very common tbh,they lifted limits when u sent them your ID and other infos they asked for , sometimes they ask for ID etc etc , when u have recieved much less than 2.5k , its pretty much random when theyll ask for docs imo..

When you hit 1650-1800 EUR benchmark you will get an email and bell+1 in the paypal notice section.Its the soft limit to alert you.He reached 1750GBP whichs way over 1800 EUR without that notice in the second account mentioned.

same happened on my side I had 2 accounts reached 1800EUR earlier this month without soft limit warning,now reached over 2500 without any limitation.

I havent got a soft liitation on 1800 and not a hard limitation on 2500. both accs are already over 3k gbp

exacly. are they 2020 registered accounts?as I got a 2019 one still has it.the 2 unlimited are 2020 registered after the UK Brexit day.

both are from late April this year. one has already got 4k gbp the other one around 2.5k gbp.

I have an acc from March which had an EU limit so i belive it got removed somewhen between march and April

Update:

EU limit came back today with hardlimit direct from 1 of my account received over 2500 eur. the email still say''as previous notice'' I think its their system glitch now it came back.I left in there 300 GBP whichs not a big loss if unable to pass.

Might lock some serious funds in for some sellers keep selling who think EU limit is gone. Thats the crafty paypal you see,play around these sort of nasty game with users during pandemic and keeped some extra funds.
