Paypal Pending balance - Should I be worried?
 

Hi Guys,

Recently PayPal have been putting around 50% of my transactions into a pending balance. All the transactions are the same value of £8 or below and in most instances the same item between both accounts. Whats weird is some are available instantly and some are withheld. This is occurring on both of my stealth accounts, one is roughly 3-4 months old and the other is 2 months old. Should I slow down with the sales or would this be considered somewhat normal?

pretty normal this year.
what the range of the holding?it sometime buxxshxt in the email and you have to wait and see how long it will release.I normally see 3 days and 7 days.
def caution with that with not more than usual sale amount/week until it gone should be fine.

@OP, could indeed be related to source of buyer payments - have you been having a lot of international buyers lately?

I don't think its anything to do with buyers side, I have around 30 transactions a day per account all £8 or less and as mentioned about half of those are entered into a pending balance account. The email mentions something like the lines of "this transaction has more risk and we have placed your balance into your pending balance" funds will be released 24 hours after recipient confirms delivery.

Unless your sales are actually high risk, you will be fine. This happens to most of my new account as well. After 60 days, if none of the transaction got disputed, you should see the pending transactions less.

I have a 5 year old account that all of sudden they are holding 30% back. I sell ONLY custom made circus wagons and they sent me something last month that I was reaching my withdrawal limit for the month. So I stopped withdrawing but did not reset at first of month. No biggie but it is a stealth account.
