Paypal Phone security check
 

Hi everyone, I am trying to link my Bank account to my stealth PP account I purchased. It is telling me that I need to get a text message on my phone to add the account. I do not have access to the phone number so I cannot do this. I previously had a bank account on file and everything was running fine on this account. I have had it for 4+ months and have had no issues with charge backs or anything and all the same cookies. I have done multiple withdraws to the bank that was previously on file. Would it be okay to link a new phone number (Google Voice) to the account and use that to complete the Phone security check? I just have $1000 in the account right now and cannot withdraw because I cant link my bank.

If adding a new phone number does not work, you'll need to contact the seller and inquire about the phone number. If the number is expired and no longer available (as is likely the case), then you'll need to utilize a different verification method. You can ask the seller for advice, but they may or may not assist given how long it has been since purchase.

Adding a new phone number will not work - at least not immediately. It can take as long as 4-6 months before the new number will be accepted for such verifications.
You might want to try to the automated phone system paypal has. When you call in say 'add bank account' at the automated prompt. Some members have reported success doing things that way.

Dang this sucks I already added the new phone number because the seller was not replying to me. I think the only way I am going to do this is by calling in with the number I added on the account. I really hope they do not ask for identification and all.
