Need to call Paypal but don't have the same number on file to call

I need to call Paypal but the number I signed up with years ago I no longer have. Can I use any number? Like if I get a new number from google voice just to call them; will that be okay?

You can call from a fresh new number then you can also ADD that number to PP, don't remove the old number just yet.

Why do you need to use the same number to call them? I call them every day and I never used the numbers on file.
More important is that they can identify you on the line.

Ah okay thanks, I have an old account that no longer has a bank account to it; i need to upload a new bank account but everytime I tried it says "can't add bank account right now." I read from other threads that waiting a week would possibly work but if that doesn't I need to call in to get a bank acc added
