You can put your return address as anything.

ILovePaypalNOT 09-30-2009 06:42 PM

well... guess that shows you how email illiterate I am ...

GreenBean 09-30-2009 06:50 PM

Be careful next time, 'NOT. If it looks too good to be true, then it probably is.
Glad you did not get scammed. From now until after the holdays, be very very very careful with buyers. They start their tricks:fight:

Gabriel 10-16-2009 12:37 AM

lmao, I just got one of those!! You immediately know that it's not authentic though cause I bet the email didn't read you by your first and last name.
Was you item on Craig's List?
It is interesting how they got the email that way, these scammers are in nigera or africa. google it, biggest scammers in the world.

oompaloompa 10-16-2009 07:42 AM

had that a few times!!! cant say it fooled me - the offer of extra postage that high is a typical Nigeria scam, I alway reply telling them to suck a lemon...

ILovePaypalNOT 10-16-2009 07:47 AM

oompaloompa 10-16-2009 08:49 AM

Lyda 10-16-2009 09:10 AM

Lol, CL is full of scammers.. Careful when selling something there!

doughboykilla 10-16-2009 11:05 AM

This PayPal® payment has been deducted from the buyer's account and has been " APPROVED" but will not be credited to your account until the shipment reference/tracking number is sent to us for shipment verification

Burning 10-16-2009 05:47 PM

Man, I use kijiji not craigslist. All craigslist replies I got were 99% scammers. I only got 1 reply from craigslist that was authentic.

Vicvelcro 10-16-2009 06:00 PM

kijiji is just CL with a better layout. It's part of the ebay family. So I hope you are paying attention to your IP and which windows user you have active... Cookies, flash, blah blah blah.

I won't go back to kijiji because of the ebay connection. Very skeevy the way they are swallowing these other sites and not even being open about it.

Burning 10-16-2009 06:58 PM

Yes I know. But, I just hate the layout of cragslist. They have alot of posting in canada. I posted the same listings on cragslist and kijiji but 99% of the time cragslist people were scammers. I did not get a single scammer on kijiji. But anway's I think kijiji is more popular here in canada. The usa kijiji is very slow since it barely has any postings.

doughboykilla 10-17-2009 01:25 AM

I never like kijiji i cant find nothing hardly on there like i can on CL looks like it dosent have near as much traffic as CL when i sale stuff localy on there i always had a good amound of legit buyers and a few scammers but i can always spot them out.

Gabriel 10-17-2009 01:40 PM

Well it doesn't really matter, more people in general use CL and you can tell instantly when it's a scam from the first few messages, or even first.

doughboykilla 10-17-2009 02:07 PM

Also CL is bad about spamers i always get people Asking if im in debit or want to buy prescrip drugs.

Vicvelcro 10-17-2009 02:08 PM

My cost/benefit analysis of CL tells me that CL is a waste of time. I already invest my effort to source goods, create listings, arrange shipping, and everything related to ecommerce. It is just too much to also sift SPAM, avoid SCAM, have posts flagged by @holes, chase all over creation to meet people at grocery stores and gas stations, and after that still get 30% less than my stuff hauls in when listed elsewhere.

Just doesn't make good sense to me.

Burning 10-17-2009 02:15 PM

Yes, you are right vicvelcro. Online classifieds are a waste of time unless they meat up at your house. Which I do not like. I usually meat up at a gas station or a coffee store but most of the time the person shows 10 minutes late. I only sell on kijiji or craigslist when the item can not be sold on ebay.
