HELP! Paypal limited my account. First transaction with new buyer!
 

This is my first transaction with a buyer that agreed and already paid my invoice of 10,000$!

This is my second paypal account that is linked to my business bank account. Iv done probably around 7-10k worth of sales on this paypal account over the past 2 months. I just invoiced a customer a 10,000$ invoice for Macbooks.

Right after the customer paid for the invoice I got an email from Paypal saying they restricted my account and they need me to submit verification and until then I will nto be able to do anything except refund and accept money.

We purchase a lot of brand new macbooks through vendors cash so there is no paper trail or invoice. My first account that I created paypal withheld a lot of money for like 6 weeks. It was terrible as I was first starting out and needed the funds.

I know that there is a chance that Paypal can barr my account. If i submit all the documentation what is the chances of me overcoming it. I do not want to wait 6-8 weeks like I did the first time around.

In regards to providing purchase receipt from my supplier should I just add those macbooks in an invoice that I have from different suppliers since I do not have specific invoice regarding those units?

Should I just cancel the invoice and have my partner invoice my new buyer since it is a new relationship but at the same time I do not want to wait 6 weeks to get my funds!

what kind of vendors will sell a lot of macbooks and not give you a receipt?

A lot of vendors actually prefer cash instead of wires and invoices. That's the nature of the business with electronics.

Well, why dont you do provide them with all the documents they want. It does not mean that you must have the documents already, but can simple produce them somehow.

merchants i have been dealing with we have been working for a while. With macbooks as long as it is apple sealed and you run the serial number and it shows inactive there's nothing to be worried about.

same thing with iphones. Run the IMEI and blacklist if its both clean nothing to be worried about as well.

i will just create an invoice from one of my vendors and add those items on my list

This is not a sustainable business model. It will end in tears and it would neither be PayPal nor the buyer's tears.

If I were in your shoes, I would immediately cancel and refund the buyer, ask them to wire the payment instead - and accept only wire transfers going forward, then get creative with the invoices to keep your PayPal account.

Don't dismiss the notion that customers are happy to pay via wire without first considering your consent to purchase from numerous merchants by cash.

Just submitted all the documents today and modified invoice to fit the items that were sold. Cross my fingers!

Your activity is super high risk for such a new account...

I'm not surprised you got limited like this.

It'd have been best if you spread your sales into many accounts so that each account receive a smaller number.

AMAZING NEWS AFTER I FILED ALL MY BUSINESS INFORMATION, EIN NUMBER, CERTIFICATE OF INCORPORATION. THEY ACCEPTED ALL OUR IT AND APPROVED IT! JUST TRANSFERED 10,000 to my account instantly!!

You got lucky this time, but don't think that you can keep doing this with this account.

Learn to spread your sales to multiple accounts so you don't put all your buns in one basket.
