WHY?Do you have a US Paypal account when it should be a Chinese PAypal account?
I can't believe you're still this clueless after making 7k+ posts in a stealth community. People here are not using their real identity, agent.

Yeah, OP, just stay under it. Also be advised that if you ever do go over and get tax-limited, that account will be finished, because the tax-limitation no longer resets with the new year like it used to. :(

From my own experience the dollar amount limit is usually the bigger issue of the two and the one they pay more attention to.
Stick to selling no more than $1500 per month on the account and you should be fine.
If you plan to sell more than that split your sales across multiple accounts.
And if you get a request for EIN/SSN for those reason stop using the account until next year when those limits reset.

Thank you Slokor! But as phaz0rz said, the tax-limitation no longer resets with the new year like it used to :(

What's stopping you from having multiple accounts?

That's the best way to do this.

That's news to me.
Why would it not reset with the new year?
phaz0rz - if you can send me a link relating to this topic so I can read up on it id appreciate it. Just need something backing up this claim as Ive never heard heard that before. If anyone else here could confirm this is now the case id appreciate it.

I can't link you to it.. it's something I noticed myself starting about 2 years ago.

Back when I joined I pointed out that tax limitations go away each year, and I posted proof by showing a screenshot from a gmail account where an account got tax limitation emails two years in a row.

So I had about 15 accounts I would send invoices from and I would purposely go over the limit each year, move onto the next account, and just wait for them to reset the next year.

Nowadays though, none of those accounts I went over on reset with the new year so I have a handful of accounts which are permanently limited. When I try to send invoices from them I just get an error message saying "merchant is limited."

Note that this is only if you hit the threshold and actually get your account limited. If you don't go all the way and get your account limited, that's still fine, because your transaction count will still reset the next year. This is only a problem if you get tax limited.

@Michael888, set up several stealth accounts and rotate sales to stay below limit.

It's rough but that's the reality of PP - you have been given some good advice by slokor, SaiJin and phaz0rz

So basically if you get the warning that you need to provide tax information, you are still okay? But after a certain amount of time, if you do not provide tax information, they will limit your account and after the new tax year, your limitation still does not reset, correct?

Honestly the wise thing to do would be to avoid USA accounts since this isn't a regulation elsewhere.

I'm thinking of getting Jamesnorth101 account since he said that there is a lot of restrictions. I wonder if in the UK there's this 200/20k inconvenience like we have here in the states. What is your opinion on it?
