Will A Scam Get My Account Blocked
 

Hi,

I'm selling some items on a local selling website. Someone has come forward requesting them. I'm concerned though as the emails we've been exchanging has set alarm bells ringing. For one thing (and I'm not criticising anyone's back ground) the emails are written in the same sort of bad English you get in phising emails. EG "Hello. I is Nigerian Prince with many problem and need help moving dollars US 15000000 out of my country bank" etc etc. Note - this isn't the email I've been sent, just an example.

The second problem is that I keep asking for the delivery address they want the items sending to, but they just keep giving me their PayPal email address and asking me to raise an invoice. They also have asked me for my PayPal email address, but won't they get that when they get the PayPal invoice???

So my questions are this:

1. Is there anyway they can scam me by me just raising an invoice with them when they finally give me their delivery address? The only way I think they could is by claiming that when they receive the items that they aren't what they ordered and get PayPal to issue a refund.
Which leads me onto question 2 and why I'm posting in this forum:
2. If the do claim that the items aren't what they ordered, what proof can I send PayPal to show them that it is what they ordered? Will PayPal just take the buyers side? Will they even listen to me or will they just automatically refund the buyer from my account?

can anyone else think of anything else I need to be weary of when raising an invoice for items sold online that'll protect me from fraud and also protect any action against my PayPal account?

Sounds like a scam if they won't submit a delivery address after repeated requests.
I would run and not look back if I were in your shoes. :bounce:

You better ignore this to prevent scam.
If there is any real claim, you should see that when you are logged in your paypal account.
And if they open claim and you can't proof you deliver the item, paypal will review the case and decide.

When alarm bells are ringing, best to forget it - if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. You know your market well so it's hard to say more without knowing about your own niche

when you send invoice they will send you ⊗⊗⊗⊗ email showing that invoice got paid and they force you to ship and many people fall for this scam bec of greed and lust you have
