Default manual review

Hi, when taking out large sums such as £2k from paypal i get the 24 hour review process, which is usually successful.

I was wondering if the 'review' was manual or completed by bots?

That's a good question.

I suspect it's a person but it could also be a bot which just make sure nothing fishy happens in that 24 hour period to cause alarm.

I don't think anyone would know this answer

It has been manual in the past but I don't think they have the capacity to do it anymore, especially in the current pandemic. I regularly do anything up to £4k. 72 hours wait but all good and goes through.

That would be a bot flagging it for manual review.
The reason is because you do not have sufficient/current history withdrawing funds.

I always start withdrawing in small amounts even if I do not need the funds.
it builds history with new PayPal and my bank account.

Twisty, you seem to leave a lot of funds in your account. I clean up the account as often as possible only leaving funds for ebay fees and possible refunds altoghter less than £200.

I also pay my ebay fees every few days sometimes staying in small credit so if the PayPal gets suspended, I could still use the ebay for Managed Payment.
