Refuse to give info on limited account?

I have a 10-year old account that just got limited; they're asking for the usual (ID, proof of address, etc.) as well as explanations about what I've been up to.

I don't have good explanations -- mostly the account has been used to receive money from a dozen different stealth accounts that didn't have their own bank account.

Usually when they ask for a bunch of documents and explanations they just want the info for their records to build a case against you -- I always get an email the next day saying "appeal denied" along with a 180-day hold.

The other problem is that at this point they often ban the linked accounts which have been sending money to the bad account.....

So is there some way to say actually **** it, just close the account and give me the money in 180 days?

Well, at this stage there isn't much you can do.
Just wait for 180 days and withdraw the money..

Sadly you can't just "close" the account. You can only hope the other accounts won't be affected.

Also, hopefully PP will release the funds in 180 days - even that is not 100% certain these days :( just saying

You cannot close the account but you CAN say 'xxxx' it by just not doing anything.
If you don't respond to their request the 180 days already started ticking the day the account got limited. get the funds out after that time has gone by and forget about the account.

It's amazing that you have gotten away with it for 10 years.

At this point if you don't do anything the 180 days is already guaranteed anyways.
So you don't need to do anything.

I've mostly done nice things for the first 8 years :P

Are you sure the 180 days starts from when they ask for the info? I have accounts for which I've not given the info for well over 250 days and they are still asking for ID and whatnot.

In my experience the 180 days starts from when you get the "appeal denied" message.

No, they usually start the moment they tell you they won't do more business with you and that they are keeping your money for 180 days.

Right now best you have a bank account already attached to that account. Because otherwise it'll be even harder to withdraw that money.

Yes exactly, so how can I get them to tell me they don't want to do business with me, so that the 180 starts ticking? Can I just tell them to F off somehow?
