New Paypal Accounts requrirng phone numbers?

Hi guys. So new Paypal accounts have started requiring phone numbers. Any way around that requirement. Seems it's almost every country in the world too. Thanks.

It probably depends what country you register in Uk you can use mobile number

Yes, PayPal "recommends" having this requirement turned off. ... However, in reality they are referring to PayPal integration systems which actively ask the shopper to physically enter their phone number during the checkout process.
