When should I upload ID/DL?

Hello guys,

I have a paypal account with Driver License which is not attached to the account, I'm gonna use it in case I get limited.

but the expire date is next year, so I was wondering, is it a good idea to upload it before it expires if my account is not limited?

or should I just get a new one if my account gets limited sometime after the expire date?

There is no way for you to just upload a doc without them asking for it.

I don't know, I've never tried it.

I see "add" button next to passport in my profile, so I thought that it's possible.
