Negative balance due to Ebay buyer
 

Hi All,

sold a expensive item on Ebay for like £3k and buyer wants to return (Long Story short - he is pulling a fast one). Anyway my paypal has since been limited and I am fighting the case through Ebay.

If I lose and the balance stays negative then what action does paypal take. I have had a look and cannot see paypal sending collections for UK negative balances but I may be wrong?

so you have already transferred the sales proceed to your bank account?
if buyer is returning the item,you need to refund

I have not accepted the return as the buyer is saying the item does not work when I know it was when I sent it. I am fighting it but if ebay step in and side with the buyer then what can happen?

A broken item is no use to me and not worth near the £3k I sold it for and I had already withdrawn the money.

The question is if ebay refund the buyer and my balance remains negative what can paypal do?

Paypal will likely attempt to reach into your back account. If account remains negative, you can expect to lose the PP account.

I am not versed on PP collection action in UK to comment on further action if you are using your real info...

The bank account has been closed to avoid PayPal just taking the funds without my permission.

The account is under real info but wanting to see if anyone ever actually had any collections in the UK as cannot find anything on this.
