Relative's SSN for Paypal?
 

The guide talks about being able to put in a relative's SSN for Paypal if they require it. Does this mean it's ok if the names don't match?

I already have an account with my real info, but I can't use my own SSN because I had an old Paypal account suspended before, that I already used my SSN on. So, is it ok just to use my brother's SSN (with his permission of course, he owes me big) or does everything have to match up from the beginning?

Try to avoid selecting in your ss number if other options may be available. Otherwise, the name needs to match SS #.

In that case, what if I already have a steady Paypal account, and then I HAVE to enter in a SSN. Can I at that point change the registration info/ use new virtual credit card, to match my relative's SSN?

I believe the guide said the info you use is permanent for Ebay...wasn't sure about Paypal.

Permanent for PayPal also...Can't change anything, PP keeps records of it all forever. You must be very careful not to get linked..

Ok thanks, I guess I'll have to plan these things out. My current account does over 3k/month and I'd like the 2.5% rate, but when I try to upgrade to Business they ask for my SSN. Oh well, I guess I'll keep paying the 2.9 on this account.
