Closed my paypal account. Got email about it being negative balance.
 

Long story short: I had a paypal with no problems, i closed the account and a few weeks later received emails of it being chargeback. I wanted to fix it, so i made the account again using the same email and then saw the account had nothing wrong. I contacted paypal to thoroughly check it and they said it was fine.

before closing
- I changed my name (minor edit)
- Im not in USA= no ssn thing
- disconnected bank and removed phone

Anyone been in a similar situation? I dont know whatll happen

Once an account is closed,it is closed,so when you open a new account with identical email address,it is a new account,did you see activities of your closed account in your new account?
people can have same email address,are both accounts based in same country

if the account is gone, its gone.
Maybe it was a system error, i had strange email from pp in the past.

You could have gotten a phishing email.

TO CLARIFY: i know its not ⊗⊗⊗⊗ cos the chargeback details were precise and from a scammer.

Paypal never remove any account,and each account has a unique number,so when you open a new account with same email address,it should be a new account,this could be why you cant find any chargeback.
Chargeback is not the same as a Paypal dispute,you wont find it in the resolution center

does this mean, it overwrites the previous? all data on previous is gone or something>?

I doubt it overwrites the previous - would be simple for PP to just hold on to more new info in addition
