Funds stuck in PayPal! Please HELP
 

Hey there!

so I have an old PayPal account (since 2016). I have funds in it. the problem is that when I try to move it to another account it asks for the SSN (I'm not a US citizen). and I can't change the legal name.

I have 2 options: to put my SSN which I obviously don't have or to transfer funds to a bank (I also don't have a US bank).

Please help! what do you suggest I can do to withdraw funds?

You do need a USA bank account for USA paypals.

There's a service provider in the forum's marketplace that could potentially turn your funds into bitcoin, so I suggest you look there

Does Transferwise ask for SSN?

Transferwise can be a good choice for USA acc. they don't need SSN. keep us posted if you solve this issue.

Transferwise aside, are you in the USA physically? Your forum flag shows as USA.

if you have a friend in the US, ask him to make a new bank account and then you can link it to your paypal and withdraw the money to the bank.

most banks work even with mismatched names.

The only way is to find a US bank account, add it (sometimes you have to do it over the phone) and withdrawal. Paypal/US banks don't care about name mismatch.
