Paypal VCCs for payment outside Europe/US
 

Hi, so my main purpose of using a VCC besides verifying the account would be to actually pay with it to some merchant which seems to only accept debit card/ credit card as payment through paypal (i dont see any options for direct transfer from balance on the payment portal and I am forced to add a payment method) . Apparently nowadays paypal don’t accpet prepaid debit cards which can be bought easily these days so those don’t work. If I’m outside of europe/us and woudl like to remain anonymous preferably(apparently even revolut requires submission of personal info) would there be any suggestions for me? Thanks!

Which prepaid debit cards did you use?

Oops I scrolled over your post several times and missed your last question:)

Used a mastercard prepaid giftcard in Hong Kong issued by a company called 33 Fianance. It worked perfectly in direct credit card payments. But paypal refuses to accept it.

you said the sellers would not accept Paypal balance ,how do they know what you are using ?

Wellll.. how that payment worked was basically I select something from the site, then there's a button "checkout with paypal" where I click. Then basically I get redirected to a portal in paypal specifically made for the merchant which let me login, register an account and there's an option "return to <merchant. name>"

If I login, there's a page where I had to select a payment method which only consits of credit and debit card. If I register a new account, I still have to fill in a card payment method. In both cases the prepaid debit card gets rejected ://

So yeah I don't even get the option to transfer with paypal funds/bank account

So are you making a USA account or some other country?

Are you referring to the region I select when I register the PP account? Cause I'm not too sure on details of how paypal distinguishes between regions.

But I made the paypal account on Hong Kong. Do you think I get the option to pay by my existing balance funds if the account is made from elsewhere..?

You can pay with your PayPal balance to any Other PayPal Country
