PayPal number upon creation
 

Hi

I have a way of creating a PayPal and not using a VOIP number.

But after creating and verifying I cannot use that number again.

How often do we need to use the phone number on file?

I know for 180 day bans we will need a phone verification but I think I can just change the number to a real phone # when I have to verify in the future?

Do you not advise this way of creating PayPals ?

Security checks are the only other time I can think of that it's important to have access to the phone number on file. Like, when you're trying to add a new bank account to an older Paypal, they'll usually want to call or text to make sure it's really you.

What you're doing isn't the best way since you won't have access to any of the phone numbers, but it can work. I don't have access to any of the phone #'s on my Paypals and have been doing fine with them for years.

You need to take the last bit of advice carefully.
Phazors is a very experienced user... the fact that you're asking the question it tells me that you aren't there yet.

So to err in the safest side I'd always have a phone that's available at all times. For goodness sake... phones are cheap now .

I have 15+ year old ebay accounts and I keep the phones on at all times.

The one day you'll need it you'll regret it if you don't have it.

With my business plan and stealth, its not possible to have those phones on file.

thats why google voice and paypal was the perfect way, but now paypal is not allowing google voice so theres my problem.

I don't use them for PP, but I have burners from PagePlus that cost $30 for the phone and a total of $30 a year to keep the line active. If your business plan can't absorb $60 in costs, you may want to rethink it.

Exactly the answer/help im looking for - something to replace Gv and the number I can keep for as long as my stealth is alive.
