I sold an item and used my old and unused paypal
 

Hi, Please take time to read my situation.

1 year ago I bought an eBay which had a paypal along with it.

I used the eBay for selling but created a new paypal for my sales.
Last week I listed 1 item and had 6 stock on them, All got sold and I fulfilled them all.

Just today I realized the paypal email placed on the listing was the same email with my eBay which is the old paypal and has no transaction.

I tried to open the paypal account but I no longer have the phone number for otp.

I never opened the paypal nor had any transaction, just this month when I made this mistake.

I called eBay and they advised me to contact paypal and ask them to redirect the payment to my real paypal as it must be unclaimed.

Please advise me on what to do, I tried calling paypal but their hotline are not accepting call right now.

I hope someone can help me with this situation. Thank you

Cancel the transactions through eBay and relist them CORRECTLY.

Otherwise odds are you're going to end up in a situation of running out of time to fulfill your orders before eBay smacks you and not having access to the funds yet.

Unfortunately all of them are delivered, I need to get access to my funds for the 6 sales I made

If you've not got the original phone number to complete the OTP, Paypal may ask for a government issued photo ID, a bank statement/utility bill for proof of address, before they unlock it.

Just try to use the old Paypal at some random website at checkout. Sometimes you get lucky and it will log you in without the phone verification.

but that Paypal account comes with the eBay account he bought,so it is not in his name,address.
He can try contacting whoever sold him that pair of accounts .
If that Paypal account belongs to someone who owe IRS money,your fund would be seized by IRS

Sounds like he attached a second paypal and had the funds sent to that one instead of the original pair, and used the same email for both, now wants to transfer the funds back.

thats not what I read,he left the old Paypal email addr in the listing when he should have replace it with his new Paypal email addr.

I gave them a call they are asking for some infos about the guy who owns the SSN based on public records unfortunately I dont have one.

So you're already committing fraud if not out right identity theft. The only ideas popping into my head lead you further down the slippery slope that you're quickly sliding down and therefore will remain in my head.

Bottom line, you're not getting the money and you need to pay more attention when you list your items.

No not fraud, I used dummy and random paypal information and it was from my eBay seller, it had no SSN included and all, I think it was just some random informations, and I created a Philippines paypal instead so I can withdraw the payments, what happened is that I used that US PayPal for receiving payment accidentally that's why money got stucked and I had it long time ago that's why I no longer have access, when I called paypal they were telling me I had to verify my identity using public data, I didn't knew that the information used would be related to someone else. I am not commiting any fraud at all nor I am aware of since it was from the seller of eBay which didn't came from aspkin.

You can't reset 2FA without database questions.
