Need advice-Can't withdraw from PP account in good standing
 

My central issue is that I cannot add a bank account nor a debit card to my stealth PP account in good standing (several years of use) to withdraw funds or continue using it. I mistakenly closed the original bank account for the PP account and when I tried to add another bank account PP would not accept it or link a debit card to it. I used PP's chat with a supervisor and they tried to be very helpful and I think they really did, but explained that for unknown reasons they could not override PP's block on my ability to add a new bank account. I worked with them for hours to no avail. I then tried to add a debit card to withdraw funds and again to no avail.

The PP supervisor suggested I get a PP debit card which is not possible due to the SS issue and also suggested that I use the money in the account to buy items or send the money to a friend or relative to have them withdraw the money and provide it to me. That last suggestion really surprised me.

I can close the account, but how can I get the money in it after six months when they won't let me add a bank account. I cannot get a check because the stealth PP account is not in my name.

I want to keep using the PP account if at all possible because it is linked to a stealth EB account also in good standing and is several years old. Is it a realistic alternative to open another stealth PP account in the same name to link to the stealth EB account.

Any advice would be very welcome.

By the sound of it PP have given you the best advise

If it was me in your shoes I would use the funds for my normal purchases and run it down

From what you have said it sounds like the account is toast - first thing is get the money out and then worry about the rest

I think the advice to send the money to friends or family was well intentioned, but I am afraid that it would be a dangerous path to take.

sometimes when a bank account does not work,its debit card works.
else you just have to spend it or send to family/friend you trust,if stealth address can be used,ask for a bank check

Yes, the stealth address is good, but the problem with a check (as I see it) is that it will be issued in the stealth person's name and not mine. I live in a state with very lax banking regulation enforcement by the bank tellers, however, and perhaps I should ask PP for a check in a small amount and see if I can just deposit it at a branch where they know me well. Hmm. Might work.

Anyone else have any luck with this course of action?

there is a fee involved in sending you a bank check by USPS first class mail,$1.75.
trying a small amount is a good idea,it is really up to your bank if you can deposit Other people's check?
some banks like mine shun endorsed checks

I think there must be some way around my situation that puts me back to where I was before. A bank account or debit card to withdraw to. If not, it seems to me that PP would have limited my account or asked for some sort of verification/s and put an end to the account. They did not and if they wished to do that they would have done it already. As far as they seemed concerned, I can continue to sell on EB and keep putting money into my PP account. I just can't link a bank account or debit card. That's what's perplexing.
